A Tribute of Gratitude & Honor

Texoma Nurse Honor Guard is a charitable nonprofit organization formed by nurses to pay tribute to those who have dedicated their lives to the service of others. Established in August 2024, we are volunteer nurses who provide free tribute ceremonies to celebrate the dedication and heart your loved one brought to their profession.

Whether through memorial tributes for those who have passed or recognition ceremonies honoring milestones and achievements throughout a nurse's career, we exist to celebrate the heart and soul of nursing.

Dressed in traditional white uniforms and caps, we present a symbolic Florence Nightingale lamp and white rose, honoring each nurse's lifetime of service with words of gratitude and remembrance.

"This journey has been a labor of love, and we are so grateful for every nurse who has joined us in honoring our own."

Honoring a Legacy of Care

We offer heartfelt tributes to nurses at memorial services and to nurses in nursing facilities and retirement homes, ensuring every nurse is remembered with dignity and gratitude.

Memorial Tributes

We attend funeral services to honor nurses who have passed, standing guard and performing the Nightingale Tribute to formally release them from their nursing duties with dignity and respect.

Living Recognition & Awards

We celebrate milestones throughout a nurse's career, honoring achievements with special recognition including the Compassion Award and the Strength & Perseverance Award for nurses who exemplify dedication.

The Nightingale Lamp

We present a symbolic Florence Nightingale lamp, representing the light of knowledge and hope that nurses carry throughout their careers, along with a white rose symbolizing purity and appreciation.

Our volunteer nurses dress in traditional white uniforms and caps, creating a dignified and meaningful ceremony that honors the nursing profession's rich heritage and traditions.
